Gratitude

One of the ways to cultivate gratitude is to keep a journal. Habits are formed in two to three weeks, hence if you write them for three weeks we hope it becomes a habit. To earn a Gratitude Merit Dog Tag, write in a daily journal two gratitudes for 21 straight days. We recommend you do this just before, or at bedtime. Review your day and only think of the positive things; memories, kindness acts, reflections, small things that gave you joy and peace, happy emotions or sites and smells. Record two of those positive things in your journal and why you are grateful for them. A long lasting benefit in writing these gratitudes in a journal is it will provide you with a list of happy memories.

Develops these qualities: Gratitude, Self Respect, Humility, Honesty and Compassion.
