Listener – Nursing Home

Listening to others is an important consideration throughout your life.  Listening and paying attention to others when they speak is a sign of respect.  It is a skill that will  build into deeper and better relationships.   People yearn to be heard. They have a lot going on in their life and their mind, and are looking for a person willing to listen to them.  You may be surprised at the positive effect you will make on this person.

You may also at the same time learn a lot about that person.  By listening you are developing patience, compassion and a deeper understanding of yourself.

Schedule time once a week, for a period of a month, to visit with someone at a nursing home.  (A total of 4 visits.)

Develops these qualities:  Good Listener, Compassion, Selfless and Patient.

You will earn 200 Merit points.
